Providing Quality Service for Nearly 70 Years
โA good reputation can not be bought. It must be earned.โ
-Orville Schroepfer, President and CEO of Schroepfer Well Drilling
Schroepfer Well Drilling started from humble roots in the small town of Beaufort, Missouri. In 1953, Lawrence F. Schroepfer founded Schroepfer & Son Well Drilling with nothing more than a 1947 Speed Star cable tool, his then-teenage son Orville, the qualities of honesty and integrity, and a desire to provide top-notch service to customers. Initially, the company offered well drilling, pump installation, and pump repair.
In 1960, Orville and his wife, Marilyn, took over the daily operations of the company, renaming it Schroepfer Well Drilling and moving from Beaufort to its current location in Leslie. As the industry changed, so too did Schroepfers, expanding first to offer borehole drilling services, and then entire geothermal systems.
From drilling boreholes to installing piping and electricity in a well system, the company takes pride in providing water from the ground to the thermostat. The Schroepfer Geothermal Division was established in 1990.
To help serve its growing customer base, the Schroepfers established tele-branch locations in Wildwood, Pacific, Sullivan, and Warrenton in 2007.
Family Ties
Family is important to the Schroepfers. All five of Orville and Marilynโs children have been a part of the business. Darren and Marilyn worked for the company until they passed away in 2004 and 2012, respectively, and the others continue to be involved in some capacity.
Today, the family continues its legacy in the industry with the fourth generation of the Schroepfer family carrying on the companyโs solid reputation of serving Eastern Missouri with responsive, cost-effective well drilling and geothermal services.
Looking to the Future
Over the years, Schroepfer Well Drilling has placed quality above all else, striving to offer first-class service every time. Not only do we do the big stuff right, but we aim to create the best possible overall experience. To us, that means providing personal service, responding to outreaches, and working to instill a sense of value for our most valuable resource โ water.
Our goal is to educate the public on the value of a private well, which ensures our customers always have water, and to train the next generation of technicians and drillers to service and protect this vital instrument that carries life-sustaining resources to homeowners and businesses. We want to remain an industry leader in this field, but most of all, we want to live up to the reputation created by our founder. Weโll do this by treating people with respect, staying true to our values, and doing exceptional work.
We donโt want to be the biggest well drilling company. We want to be the best!
